At Central Tech, we offer two types of classes: Full-time and Short-term. Choose what’s best for you!

Full-Time Classes

Full-time classes provide progress-based instruction and are designed for students seeking career or technical training. High School students can attend part-time and tuition free. Adults can attend mornings, afternoons or both. Select the classes that interest you to start exploring future career opportunities.

Career Connection is a career exploration program for district 8th graders.  This program will equip students with the skills needed to select, plan and prepare for their future careers through a variety of presentation methods, including an interactive Career Fair featuring Central Tech career pathways.  Connecting students from where they are currently to where they want to be in their future career is the objective of “Career Connection!”

Showcase is an annual event held in February for current sophomores, juniors, and seniors that reside in the Central Tech district. While on campus, students have the opportunity to learn about career interests, visit multiple programs and engage with instructors and current students.  Visiting students will be able to see and hear about projects, curriculum, and future job opportunities in a variety of business and industries.  Also during this time, prospective students will learn about the application process for full-time programs.  For more information, please contact your high school counselor or the Central Tech Recruiter at 918-352-2551, extension 208.

STEM Day, which occurs on the Wednesday before Spring Break, has become a Central Tech tradition.  It gives students an opportunity to compete in various STEM related contests.  Activities consist of five different math contests, as well as engineering and scientific problem solving competitions.  Students from 28 different schools compete in the various events earning points for their school in the quest of the Championship trophy.  Registration packets are mailed out in January and registration is limited to the first 500 students. If you like math, science, or simply enjoy trying to figure out what makes things “tick”, then this competition is for you.

Student organizations teach leadership skills and ensure America has a skilled workforce by helping students excel. Educational programs, events, and competitions support career and technical education.

Students who place 1st in state competitions advance to national contests where they represent Central Tech and the state of Oklahoma. We invite you to check out the Wall of Fame National Winners on the Drumright campus.
